Using a requirements table to design a structured interview which followed the TAM framework proved pragmatic as it allowed questions to flow naturally within an established conceptual space. An effective questionnaire was designed employing suitable literature, clear wording, and keeping internal consistency in mind. As well as text the overall layout and graphical banners used in Survey Monkey was aimed at portraying a professional composite of academic work.

A pilot test of the preliminary questionnaire was conducted to refine and ensure questions were interpreted as the researcher intended. A “delivery and collection” method was targeted at Twitter users who posted “#bitcoin” to focus results on individuals within the Bitcoin community.
