No significant relationship was found when comparing (Edu) and (Internet time) to the internal factor PEOU. It is noteworthy that neither prior circumstances of academic training nor more time in a digital environment would affect the ease which Bitcoin is perceived.
Standard multiple regression was used to assess the effect of PU and PEOU to predict the behavioural “intent to use” question. After normalising the raw data with the reflect inverse equation primary analysis was conducted to ensure no violation of the assumptions of normality, linearity, multi-collinearity and homoscedasticity. PU and PEOU are calculated to have 30.8% effect on the “intent of use” question. The final analysis shows a significant overlap in the effects of PU and PEOU but only the PU was statistically significant in positivity effecting the outcome of the ‘rate Bitcoin’ question with a beta value = 0.467, p<0.001. The strong relationship recorded between PEOU and PU which may be pertinent for business implications.
H1 | PU has a positive effect on “intent of use” of Bitcoin. | Accepted |
H2 | PEOU has a positive effect on “intent of use” of Bitcoin. | Rejected |
H3 | External variables of: (edu) and (internet-time) have a positive relationship with PU of Bitcoin. | Inconclusive |
H4 | External variables of: (edu) and (internet-time) have a positive relationship with PEOU of Bitcoin. | Rejected |
